MAAMAW
European Workshop on Modelling Autonomous Agents in a Multi-Agent World (1989—2001)
MAAMAW was the European workshop on multi-agent systems and, for a decade, the regular meeting place of the European agent community. It ran ten times between 1989 and 2001, small by design — a hundred participants, a convivial site, and a large place for discussion. Its first three proceedings were the *Decentralized A.I.* volumes from North-Holland; from the fourth edition the selected papers appeared in Springer's Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence. The tenth edition in Annecy was the last: EUMAS took over as the European multi-agent meeting from 2003. Yves Demazeau was on the chairing side of every edition.
