The 16th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, hosted by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. AI*IA (Associazione Italiana per l’Intelligenza Artificiale) è l’associazione scientifica senza scopo di lucro fondata nel 1988 e dedicata alla promozione dell’Intelligenza Artificiale. The conference covered broadly the many aspects of theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence, complemented by a series of workshops, a doctoral consortium, two thematic panels organised jointly with GULP and AISC, the AI*IA prize ceremonies (Premio Lesmo, Premio Cadoli, Premio Somalvico) and a dissemination event open to the public. The proceedings appeared as Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence 10640, Springer, 2017, ISBN 978-3-319-70169-1.
