The proposed project involves the development of a distributed web application designed to monitor and analyze suspicious network activity through the use of Honeypots.
Honeypots are specialized nodes configured to simulate vulnerable services, with the goal of attracting potential cyber threats and collecting valuable security data.
The application features a centralized Dashboard that enables users to:
The collected data includes information on attacks, such as unauthorized access attempts, malicious file uploads, and other suspicious activities, all categorized by severity levels to prioritize responses.
The system is designed to be distributed, allowing Honeypot nodes to operate on machines separate from the central server (in this case, within distinct containers). This architecture promotes scalability, isolation, and flexibility, making it suitable for dynamic and complex network environments.
