abstract

We were working on our thesis, reading tons of useless papers just because the title was not very self-explanatory so we could not figure out what such papers will talk about...but suddenly we said to each other: Why do we have to read all these useless stuff !? What if someone could do this in place of us? What if someTHING instead of someONE??. Then ReadIT4mE! came to life  Apart from jokes, we aimed at creating a system capable of automatically extract key-phrases from academic papers in a simple and fast way, taking a small amount of pre-existing examples to train and learn a proper model for subsequent text mining. Our main objectives were ease of use for non-technical people, involve the end-user asking for feedbacks on text mining engine work and maximize performance. Accuracy of extracted key-phrases was too in the list, but it depends more on the quality of the tool used for extraction than on our usage of it.
