Engineering MAS environment requires specific abstractions, in particular to handle agent situatedness. By interpreting situatedness as an interaction issue, coordination artefacts are the most suitable abstraction for engineering agent-environment interaction. In this paper, we describe the TuCSoN coordination architecture for situated MAS, and show how the corresponding TuCSoN coordination technology can be effectively used for engineering MAS environment.
