The paper presents the TuCSoN coordination model for Internet applications based on mobile information agents. The model is based on the notion of tuple centres, tuple-based interaction spaces whose behaviour in response to communication events can be programmed according to the application requirements. This makes it possible to embed intelligence into the communication abstractions and to deal with heterogeneity and dynamicity of the information sources.
