Given the growth of agent-based models and technologies in the last decade, nowadays the applicability of agent-oriented techniques to the engineering of complex systems such as pervasive ones critically depends on the availability and effectiveness of agent-oriented methodologies. Accordingly, in this paper we take SAPERE pervasive service ecosystems as a reference, and introduce a novel agent-oriented methodology aimed at engineering SAPERE systems as multi-agent systems.
