Socio-technical knowledge-intensive environments exhibit three peculiar traits: unpredictability of agents’ behaviour, ever-growing amount of information to manage, fast-paced production/consumption rate. All traits contribute to tangle coordination of information so as to make it both easily reachable by knowledge consumers and easily manageable by the IT infrastructure. In this paper we propose a novel approach to coordination in such environments, by extending the Molecules of Knowledge model (MoK ) for self-organisation of information with key concepts borrowed from the cognitive theory of behavioural implicit communication (BIC).
