Semantic matchmaking on resource-constrained devices

abstract

The project aims at experimenting with the Mini-ME semantic matchmaking engine for ubiquitous computing.

In order to do that, it is necessary to firstly get acquainted with the problem domain, that is, semantic matchmaking.

Then, it is possible to experiment with the Mini-ME engine, in particular, with the goals of  using it from Java on both laptops and Android devices, and (ii) investigate the expressiveness gap (if any) w.r.t. the most common reasoning engines for the semantic web—e.g. Pellet, JFact, or HermiT
