ROCS: The role of ontology in coordination systems

   page       attach
abstract

The ROCS project aims to explore the complex word of ontologies starting from the definition to the description of its relevance in the world of Multi Agent Systems (MAS). For long time every work focuses on the syntax of language more than the semantics that it has. Now, with the introduction of new programming paradigms (like the agents), the growing of networks, the heterogeneity of data and informations, it is necessary to move toward a system where semantics has a crucial role. In the following report it’s going to be described how an ontology can be represented (RDF, OWL, Wordnet) and various methods useful to compare them (W4, Hmatch,SOSTuS).
