abstract

Interdisciplinary approaches can be very useful to solve complex problems. The possibility of transposing specific concepts and emulating given solutions and techniques can lead to an evident progress in various research fields. It is no surprise that many solutions in computer sciences borrow from the study of natural systems and phenomena. From ant colonies to social networks, many elements have been embraced by scientists and engineers to describe possible software systems and solutions. Artificial intelligence and the autonomy of AI systems being a hot topic of research right now, it is interesting to note that many elements of cognitive and educational psychology could be considered in fields such as deep learning or machine learning in order to improve somehow (from the control to the efficiency of the algorithms) the current state of those disciplines.
