What's new in XWiki

The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 16.7.1. This release is a bug fix release. It's especially fixing an important performance regression on any UNIX system on which /dev/random is slow. See the release notes for more information.

XWiki SAS, and the XWiki software, are turning 20 this year, and I'm delighted to invite you to celebrate together this milestone on Thursday, the 19th of September, on the Loceynius barge, at Solférino port (Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France), starting at 20:30. 

Your contributions have been a vital part of this open-source journey, and so we have open spots for the XWiki community. Regardless how small or big your contributions were, if you contributed some code, a translation, some documentation, participated in some discussion, or contributed in another way, you're welcome.

The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 15.10.12. This is a bug fix release. This release contains security fixes, with the highest severity being 9.1/10.0. See the release notes for more information.

The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 16.7.0. This release contains a few UI improvments, including a better design of the error / warning / info boxes, and important bug fixes. It also brings support to Jetty 12 for the provided standalone jetty distribution. See the release notes for more information.

XWiki SAS has launched 3 Confluence-equivalent bridge macros — Page Properties, Page Properties Report, and Content by Label. These macros can be found in the new Confluence Migration Toolkit, a bundle with all the macros, apps, and services that you need to transfer data but also benefit from long-term technical support from XWiki SAS. The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 16.6.0. This release contains a few improvments like better display of icons in object and class editors, or the capability to request the effective author for developpers, but has been mostly focused on bug fixing, including security fixes. The XWiki SAS and CryptPad development teams support this open letter addressed to the European Commission in favor of funding the Next Generation Internet (NGI) programs. The letter emphasizes the critical role the programs have in supporting open-source software development and technological innovation, calling for the preservation of NGI to maintain digital sovereignty and foster long-term international collaborations. Version 1.5.1 of the Glossary Application is now available. It contains in particular the additional module Machine Translation Glossary Application which allows to control how specific terms get translated when translating pages with a Machine Translation service via the Machine Translation Application.

This application allows to translate content using an external Machine Translation. At the moment only DeepL Translator is supported. The application can be used in combination with the Machine Translation Glossary application for controlling how specific terms get translated.
