The German special interest group on Distributed Artificial Intelligence organizes a conference to promote the theory and application of agents and multiagent systems. The German conference on MultiAgent system TEchnologieS (MATES) covers the whole range from theory to application of agent- and multiagent technology. It aims at providing an interdisciplinary forum for both, researchers and members of business and industry, to present and discuss latest advances in theoretic work on, as well as prototyped or fielded systems of intelligent agents. The conference features an exhibition of practical applications with an advanced concept of agency, as well as workshops and introductory and expert courses on practical aspects of agent-based computing.
