The 2001 Symposium on Applications and the Internet (SAINT-2001), held at the DoubleTree Hotel San Diego-Mission Valley, provided a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry, and government to present their latest findings in the area of Internet applications and the underlying technologies supporting those applications. Alongside the technical programme, the symposium hosted four tutorials on 8 January 2001.
