SAG'04

An increasing number of scientific applications had come to demand intensive use of computational resources and access to large data collections in huge storage systems; grid computing offered them a dynamic, heterogeneous infrastructure, and its great challenge was the complete integration of heterogeneous computing systems and data resources into a global computing space. SAG brought together researchers, developers and users of the Grid to present current and emerging work. It was a half-day workshop — 9:00 to 12:00 on the workshop day of the 2004 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Joint Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, which ran 20–24 September.
