Symposium on Intelligent Agents and Services for Smart Environments

A smart environment is endowed with autonomous behaviour: it can sense what occurs within itself and its surroundings, and adapts its actions accordingly. Intelligent multiagent systems and Semantic Web services are relevant technologies for designing and implementing such environments, providing decentralised and robust platforms upon which autonomous software modules can interact with each other and with sensors and actuators. The workshop explores those technologies together with the technical, socio-technical and ethical requirements that smart environments raise.
