Grid computing and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Systems are becoming ubiquitous computing 
infrastructure for the coordinated use of shared resources in a distributed 
environment. The key to making these systems work well is the middleware 
technologies that can efficiently allocate resources as well as manage the 
data, policies, security, networks, and so forth. A tremendous effort has been 
made and is still underway to provide and fine tune a number of middleware 
technologies allowing P2P and grid users to access large resources in order to 
solve the most challenging computational problems. This workshop will serve as 
a forum to present current and future work as well as to exchange research 
ideas by researchers, developers, practitioners, and users in P2P and grid 
computing. We are soliciting original high quality research papers on topics of 
interest that include but are not limited to:

1.  Resource Management and Scheduling
2.  Data Access and Management
3.  Advance Resource Reservation and Scheduling
4.  Computational Economy Based Resource Management and Scheduling
5.  Performance Evaluation and Modelling
6.  Remote Data Access and Management
7.  Workload and Data Management Services
8.  Agent and Multi-agent Based Resource Management
9.  Load Sharing and Load Balancing Techniques
10. Resource and Service Discovery Approaches
11. Fault-Tolerant Resource Management Approaches
12. Grid Portals for Configuration, Management and Monitoring
13. Grid Portal design (e.g., Web access to computational Grids and
     Web access to knowledge Grids)
14. Network Resource Allocation
15. Grid and P2P Security

SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION DETAILS
Authors are invited to submit papers of not more than 10 pages electronically 
(PS or PDF format, compressed) to: gpp05@laurel.datsi.fi.upm.es. Please 
indicate in the header of the message "GP2P'05 submission".

All submitted papers must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules 
of LNCS (see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html). All submitted 
papers will be evaluated on significance, originality, technical quality, and 
exposition. Please include a cover page (in ascii format) which lists the 
following:

* Title of the paper
* List of authors
* name, affiliation, address and e-mail address of each author
* name of the contact author

Accepted papers will appear in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series 
(LNCS), Springer-Verlag. All the manuscripts accepted for publication by 
Springer in its series LNCS must be accompanied by a Signed Copyright Form.

Some papers from the workshop will be selected for journal length extension and 
published in the Informatica - An International Journal of Computing and 
Informatics, as a special issue expected to be published in early 2005.

At least one of the authors of accepted paper must be registered for the paper 
to be published. Deadline for pre-registration is January 05, 2005. All 
presenting authors must register before January 10, 2005. For further

committee, please refer to the ICCSA homepage.
