Self-adaptive and self-organizing systems operate and adapt under dynamic circumstances, and any scientific study of such a solution should include a thorough evaluation. The last decade saw many such systems proposed and studied, but the literature also shows that a fair comparison between algorithms is a very difficult and unsolved problem: solutions to dynamic problems must weigh conflicting objectives — timeliness of adaptation, computation and communication overheads, tolerance of disruption. Eval4SASO addresses that gap.
