BICA 2011

 Dear BICA Community,

It is our great pleasure to announce that BICA 2011, the Second International Conference on Biologically Inspired Cognitive Architectures, will be held on November 5th and 6th (Saturday-Sunday) in Holiday Inn Arlington, Virginia, next to Washington, D.C., USA, with an opening reception and a pre-conference workshop planned on November 4. 

BICA meeting is a well-established venue and a great forum of frontier researchers from various fields unified by the challenge of creating a real-life computational equivalent of the human mind. Please see the attached CFP for the scope of BICA 2011, its focus, format, submission and publication policies, and the list of critical dates. Further information is available and will be updated at the conference web site at http://bicasociety.org/2011/

As in the previous year, BICA 2011 is simultaneously an Annual Meeting of the BICA Society and is co-located with several major events. It will be held across the street from AAAI Fall Symposia (Nov 4-6) and the AI Funding Seminar (Nov 3). It is also co-located with the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting (Nov 12-16). 

If you plan to participate, please email us a tentative title of your presentation (together with your affiliation and contact info) by April 1st. Optionally, please add a short tentative abstract (this preliminary data will not be used for the Proceedings, but may be posted online). Please also let us know whether you need an extension of the paper submission deadline.
