The first International Conference on Autonomous Agents, sponsored by ACM SIGART with SIGGRAPH and SIGCHI, brought together researchers interested in modelling and building autonomous agents — computational systems that inhabit dynamic, unpredictable environments. The technical programme was accompanied by invited talks, panels, tutorials, poster presentations and both software and robot demonstrations.
