abstract
This report describes the project developed for the 2024-2025 Distributed Systems course called Tic-Tac-Toe. The project consists on a distributed implementation of a variant of the classic multiplayer game Tic-Tac-Toe, in which two players can play against each other, creating a game or joining an existing one. The game consists in the two players placing alternatively their marks on a 3x3 grid; the first player who succeeds in placing three marks in an horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins the game. The variant consists in removing a random mark from the grid at each turn, after the third mark of the player has been placed, meaning that every player can have at most three marks on the grid at any time. In this way, there is no possibility of a draw, because the game can potentially last forever.
