Rewriting the history of motorsports with modern digital democracy

This thesis analyses the state of the art of modern electoral methods, focussing on the Condorcet method and its refinements, contributing to the state of the art with a complete, general purpose framework for applying such methods to arbitrary problems. The framework is exercised in a case study regarding motorsport, looking back at the history of races and championships and measuring if and how a mathematically better founded system could have changed the hall of fame.
