Agent-Oriented Programming as a Programming Paradigm

Agent-Oriented Programming is investigated as a novel programming paradigm for the design and development of concurrent and distributed systems, as a conceptual evolution of object-oriented concurrent programming and actor-based programming. A new programming language and platform called simpAL is used to support this investigation in practice.
