Workshop 14 June 201 – Minute
Day 1
15-17.30: Mirko presented his talk, which generates a lot of discussion on open issues already, on the following issues:
- Rates, their dynamics, and risks of divergence
- Encoding service interfaces into LSAs
- Bonding with remote LSAs
- Can use an hybrid model of P2P vs ClientService management of LSA-spaces
- Trade-off between eco-laws and agents
- Application-dependency of eco-laws
17.30-18.30: Graeme presented his talk:
- Clarification on the role of the SPARQL translation
Day 2
10-11.30: Giovanna presents work on using eco-laws for self-* algorithms
- Discussion about topology: reifying more involved topologies on top of the infrastructure (LSAs and eco-laws)
- Is topology a service
- Universality of self-organisation rules
- Some eco-laws are general, suggested by WP2 and WP3, above them we will also need composition of behaviour by application-specific eco-laws
11.50-13 : Franco
- Smartphones (all devices) need to have an LSA-space inside, where sensors have an LSA
- Peer-to-peer can be done by making the semantics of here be application-dependent
- Are there many topologies? Some is created by infrastructure
- Franco explains a prototype Facebook SAPERE application, which we use to generalise topology issues
- Mirko proposes seen network capabilities as provided by components, that is, by LSAs and eco-laws
14-15 : Discussing WP5 case studies against the model
- Do we need some more general case studies?
15-17.30 : Open issues with WP1:
- Graeme shows old eco-laws for the FOCLASA examples
- Syntax was discussed a bit
- Discussed the need of rates in eco-laws
- Discussed pros and cons of markovian model of rates
- Sara presents SERENE
- Danilo presents Alchemist
- Giovanna presented their simulator, and we discussed comparison's with Danilo
