Distributing Intelligence in Smart Homes: a Case Study in Home Manager

This paper proposes a prototype of distributed intelligencein a Smart Home application based on the TuCSoN, ReSpecT and tuProlog technologies. Their combination makes it possible to spread intelligence in a complex distributed system which demands high-level symbolic ca- pabilities, while ensuring a clear separation among agent intelligence, infrastructure intelligence and system policies.
