SAPIR'2005

SAPIR was the IARIA conference on networks and systems that expose partial or intermittent behaviour — pi-resources, as its call calls them — a behaviour that reaches across industrial areas from wireline and wireless to grid computing and ad-hoc networks. Topics ran from service level agreements and discovery mechanisms for pi-resources to the semantics of high availability, context-awareness, security, user behavioural models and the implications for existing communication protocols and middleware. The second edition was held jointly with AICT 2005, the Advanced Industrial Conference on Telecommunications, and ELETE 2005, in a single Lisbon week; its proceedings appeared in Springer LNCS, as SAPIR 2004's had done in LNCS 3126.
