ASAmI 2007

The vision of Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is a society based on unobtrusive, often invisible interactions amongst people and computer-based services in a global computing environment. Services in AmI will be ubiquitous, associated with a variety of objects and devices in the environment that bear no resemblance to computers, and people will interact with them through intelligent and intuitive interfaces sensitive to what they need. The symposium looks at artificial societies — the social and organisational abstractions of multi-agent systems — as a way to make such environments transparent and intelligible.
