Dear all
As you may know, the 22nd International Conference of the Italian
Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2023 -
http://aixia2023.cnr.it/) will be in Rome from Monday 6 November to
Thursday 9 November 2023.
AIxIA 2023 will be hosted by the University of Roma Tre
<https://www.uniroma3.it/> at the Department of Civil Engineering, Computer
Science, and Aeronautical Technologies
<https://ingegneriacivileinformaticatecnologieaeronautiche.uniroma3.it/>.
The event will took place on the occasion of the centenary of the
foundation of the National Research Council of Italy
<https://centenario.cnr.it/> (CNR) and is curated by CNR and the three main
public universities of Rome, "La Sapienza", "Tor Vergata" and "Roma Tre".
The registration process is open (Early registration until the 16th of
October) and you may find the detailed information here:

The conference program is going to be published on the conference website
<http://aixia2023.cnr.it/>. In the meanwhile, we are glad to share with you
a description of the sessions, talks and co-located events.
The conference received 53 submissions for the regular research papers
track and 33 papers <http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/acceptedPapers> were
accepted for publication and presentation at the conference. Besides
regular papers, the conference also received the submission of 15
discussion papers and 13 discussion papers
<http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/acceptedPapers> were accepted for
presentation at the conference.
Remarkable keynote talks <http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/keynote>are
enriching the program: 'The Evolution of Artificial Intelligence in Italy:
A Personal Journey' by Luigia Carlucci Aiello (Wed. 8th of November), and
'Artificial Intelligence: Some Thoughts?' by Stuart J. Russell (Thur. 9th
of November). An invited talk <http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/invitedTalk>by
Prof. Oliviero Stock will also be given during the AIxIA members meeting
(Wed. 8th of November).
The conference agenda also includes two tutorials
<http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/tutorials> by Pietro Liò (University of
Cambridge) and Chiara Ghidini (FBK), a Doctoral Consortium (applications
are under evaluation), award events and a panel dedicated to FAIR
<http://aixia2023.cnr.it/program/panelPNRR>, the largest AI project in
Italy financed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research through
the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
Besides the main track, AIxIA 2023 encompassed a wide range of theoretical
and applied AI aspects, with 19 co-located workshops
<http://aixia2023.cnr.it/conference/workshops> dedicated to specific
topics, bringing together AI communities with related interests.
There will be also two satellite events: a public gathering titled 'Artificial
Intelligence: Instructions for Use <http://aixia2023.cnr.it/publicEvent>,'
focused on the impact of generative AI on schools and younger generations,
and an event dedicated to the connections between AI and the business and
industrial world.
The social events <http://aixia2023.cnr.it/attendee/socialEvents> complete
the program: a Welcome Reception (6th of Nov. 7pm) at the conference venue
and a Social Dinner (8th of Nov. 8pm) at Galleria Doria Pamphilj

Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to all those who, in

particular, we are especially grateful to Direttivo AIxIA for supporting us
and to the organizing committee that is putting a big effort for organizing
