Biography of Enrico Denti

I was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 1966.

I got my laurea in Electronic Engineering (with Computer Science specialisation) from the University of Bologna in 1991.

In 1994, I got a grant from the Italian National Research Council (CNR) for a research inside the Finalized Project "Sistemi Informatici e Calcolo Parallelo" (Computer systems and parallel calculus), subproject "Linguaggi di nuova concezione" (New languages)".

After then, I have always been doing research at the Department of Electronics, Computer Science Engineering and Systems (DEIS) of the University of Bologna, where I also got my Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering..

I have also been teaching several courses for both the University of Ferrara and Bologna, both in 1994 and from 1997 onwards, as a external Professor. In October 2000 I became a Research Associate in this Department: from the same date, I have always been a member of the Department's Executive Board, and I still am. In October 2003, I was called by the Faculty of Engineering of Bologna University to cover an Associate Professor position.

From October 2003, I also have been coordinating the Commission delegated to examine the students' applications to the Computer Science Engineering degree course.
